This camp will explore winter and all the sparkly, cold and wonderful things about it! Take full advantage of your time off from school and learn to sculpt penguins on icebergs, create wonderfully cold and silly snowmen, and even create fake snow! Clay Creations - 453602

This class will give the younger generation an opportunity to experience the tactile qualities of clay. Students will learn how to hand build with clay through pinch, coil, and slab construction. The finished products will be fired in an electric kiln and then the students will decorate them with glaze which is non-toxic and food safe. All materials will be provided. Parent may need to help the child depending on the child's ability. 4 week class.

Beginning Pottery - 453620

This course will introduce the beginner to hand building & wheel throwing. The beginning potter will learn the techniques of centering and completing wheel-thrown vessels. Students will understand clay as a raw material and the processes involved in the completion of functional or artistic pieces. The class will also include hands-on experience in dealing with greenware, bisqueware, and the glazing process. A basic set of tools will be provided by the instructor as part of the material fee. Note: All glazing materials are nontoxic, lead free, and food safe. Clay provided. 8 week class.

This class is for anyone looking to experience the joy of working with clay. Whether youve never touched clay before, or are an experienced professional, you are welcome here. Beginners will be introduced to hand building with slabs and coils as well as wheel throwing; while more advanced students will be free to work independently.
